{{It's A New Day}}
Been such a long time since I have posted anything......TODAY is a NEW Day and I am gonna EMBRACE it!!!!
Got this challenge...so I thought I would post it so you can get to know me before I go on.......
1. Name – Julie...my friends call me Juls or Shabbyjuls
2. Pink – Love it or Hate it? love it
3. Signature shade of lipstick, lipgloss, etc. – clear gloss
4. Do you have a best girl friend? I have many – the VERY best
5. Do you have a woman mentor? I have lots.....I look up to those who like to encourage and buildup and correct out of love...makes me a better person!!!!
6. Are you a woman mentor to someone else? I am a mentor to some of my favorite gals at church!
7. Tomboy or Princess? Princess
8. Favorite Girl Band? worship band at church
9. Are you a mom? Do you want to be one? yes...two amazing teens..Joelie and Kaylie
10. Do you and your mom have any rituals? lunch and shopping
11. Fashion magazines – yea or nay. nay
12. Do you have a feel good outfit? definitely my velour sweats!
13. Have you called your grandma or special aunt, or special older lady lately? yes!
14. Signature Scent? chloe
15. Favorite female tv character I can’t pick a favorite
16. Favorite place to hang out with gal pals? starbucks of course!
17. Did you ever ditch your girl friends to be with a guy? Do you still? to be with my sweet hubby!
18. Friend you call when you need a laugh? lots!
19. Friend you call when you need a shoulder to cry on? mom:)
20. Have you reminded your friends of how much they mean to you lately? I try to often
My new goal starting today is to be others centered much more than I am....I strive to be the best wife and mom I can be and of course child of God...and a good friend. I want to uplift and inspire...{thanks Rhonna for the inspiration!!!} Some of my favorite mottos to live by.....
Charge into your future!

Employ the power of positive quitting.
Most of us view quitting as something negative, but it’s not. "Winners never quit," we’re told, when, in reality, winners quit all the time: choosing to stop doing things that aren’t creating the results they desire. When you quit all the things that aren’t working for you. . . When you quit tolerating all the negative things that hold you back. . . You’ll create a positive "charge" in your life as well as well creating the space in your life for more positive experiences.
Little things mean a lot.
Life throws a lot of little negative things in our way that must be dealt with or else they will greatly diminish how we enjoy our days. Stephen Vincent Benet said it best: "Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways."
Recognize that LIFE is what you get when you’re born. . . . . . LIVING is what you do with it! You can sit back and wait for life to happen to you or you can make it happen yourself. As Maya Angelou once said, "Life likes to be taken by the lapel and told, I’m with you kid. Let’s go!"
